Double H Ranch

Among the private areas that we lease for hunting, the Double H is by far our premier ranch and several of our top trophies have been harvested within its boundaries.

The ranch consists of approximately 140,000 acres of prime elk and mule deer habitat and takes in portions of the Datil and Gallinas mountain ranges, both are home to trophy scoring bulls.

The elegant accommodations of the lodge coupled with the spectacular view of the plains of San Augustine
, the professional staff and expertise of our guides, along with the hospitality of the Land of Enchantment add to this premier hunt.

Until recent years the HH was one of the area's largest working cattle ranches. Under new management, it has grown to be one of the area's largest hunting ranches.

A detailed game management plan with the development of food plots, waters, and mineral blocks draw elk and deer onto the ranch. A strict predator control policy protects the wildlife within its boundaries. Yearly aerial surveys have confirmed the positive results of these efforts and continue to aid in future game management policies.

To protect the quality of the game, a wound policy is in effect and a minimum harvest score has been developed for both elk and mule deer with a 350 minimum harvest on elk and a 170 minimum harvest on deer.

You can view some of the trophy mule deer and elk taken on the ranch in our Double H Ranch TROPHY ALBUM or visit the Double H Ranch site.
