If you'd like to take your trophy bull with a firearm, there's no question that Muzzleloader Elk Hunting is the way to go.

New Mexico's primitive weapons only areas have never been open to modern rifle hunting. They are the ideal place to hunt exceptional bulls. While success may be a little lower than actual rifle hunting the average harvest score can be in the 350's and you never know when you might have a record breaker in your sights.

Rick Westwood - 418 SCI

The use of inline muzzleloaders, sabots, and scopes is legal in New Mexico. On the average these guns are effective up to 150 to 200 yards. If you are familiar with your muzzleloader it is basically a one shot rifle.

Our earlier muzzleloader hunts take place at the tail end of the rut and offer an excellent opportunity at trophy to Boone and Crockett bulls.

Casey Smith - 409 SCI

Our guides have been in the field the full month of September and typically have these bulls patterned.

During our late season muzzleloader hunts the bulls are in bachelor groups with no cows.

We like this hunt because there hasn't been any hunting pressure in months. The bulls are quite and localized, making them an easier target.

John Hoose - 407 SCI

The number one Long Hunter's world record bull, scoring 418 gross, was taken by one of our clients.
