MUZZLELOADER
MULE DEER
Harvesting a Boone and Crockett mule deer
is quite an accomplishment, and we consider muzzleloader hunting
to be our best opportunity to hunt the trophy bucks.
In late September the bucks are in the velvet and traveling in bachelor
herds. In order to protect their fragile antlers they tend to stay
out of the thick brush, and trees, and move down into lower more
open country. This makes them easier to
locate, adds excitement to the hunt, and makes it an unforgettable
experience.
Our
guides have been in the field, in some of the same areas, since
the beginning of September and in essence scouting for mule deer.
Knowing
the bucks we want to harvest beforehand gives us a distinct advantage
and has enabled us to harvest several Boone and Crockett mulies
in the 180 to 200 class.

RIFLE MULE DEER
 |
If going
after a trophy hard horned buck in
the thick timber, and the search, is what thrills
you, our October and November rifle hunts would be the ticket.
Our private
ranch rifle mule deer hunts provide opportunities to see and
harvest trophy class bucks
in the 150 to 200 plus category.

One of
our private ranches has never been hunted for mule deer and
has a high density of deer ranging in the 150's to 180's,
while another's recent aerial survey reported fourteen
B&C or bigger bucks.
With
several private ranches to hunt, whether you're looking for
a respectable buck to hang on the wall, or a record scoring
buck, we have a hunt that will suit your needs.
